Parents are the primary educators of their children. They play the most important role in the intellectual, emotional, social and physical growth of their children. At Folsom Prep, we partner with parents to provide a rich and meaningful educational experience to develop their children to their fullest potential.
The presence of our parents is one of our greatest assets! There are dozens of opportunities for parents to get involved at Folsom Preparatory School. Parents can be found interacting in our school community every day by helping in classrooms, attending field trips, assisting in our library, volunteering as guest speakers, organizing special events, and participating in our Parent Board.
The purpose of The Parent Board is to bridge and build our parent–school community for the purpose of enhancing the learning experience of our students by focusing on the fulfillment of our school mission. The Parent Board meets monthly in open sessions. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
Parent/Family events are an important part of our community life. Every month there is at least one calendared Parent-Family Event in which the community gathers, these include:
Back to School Night
Family Science Night
Harvest Festival
Cultural Celebration - Festival of Colors
Family Dance
Movie Night
Art Show
As well as other seasonal and community celebrations
