Extra-Curricular Activities
A variety of extra-curricular classes are available after school for interested students. Options vary depending upon student ages and program availability.
These courses are fee based, with payment made directly to the vendor. No grades are given for participation in these programs.
Soccer Shots
This high-energy program introduces children to fundamental soccer principles using creative and imaginative games. Each session will utilize age-specific curriculum that develops skills and progresses with competitive play. All grades welcome.
Chess
The Chess Academy will meet weekly for chess lessons. Each week they will focus on a new skill. Learning to play chess improves concentration, critical thinking, and social skills. All grades welcome.
Choir
The Folsom Prep Choir will work on pitch, rhythm, breath, voice, and diction at the beginners level. Each year they will perform at the City of Folsom’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting or Zoo. All grades welcome.
Cooking
Learn how to make tasty treats using easy to follow recipes. Children will learn kitchen safety, measuring skills and basic cooking skills. K-5th grades welcome.
Hip-Hop
Jazzerettes come to Folsom Prep once a week to teach students choreographed dances. Families enjoy their two recitals. All grades welcome.
Early Engineers
A focus on STEAM activities to inspire kids and help them explore exciting fields of learning. Early Engineers provide hands-on, inquiry-based education that sparks creativity and curiosity. Whether your child loves engineering, art, or is discovering their passion, we have a class to fuel their imagination.
Ninja Kids
A children's karate course helps kids build confidence, discipline, and focus while learning valuable self-defense skills. Through fun and engaging lessons, they’ll develop physical strength, coordination, and respect for others. Whether they’re new to karate or advancing their skills, our classes provide a supportive environment for growth and achievement.
