Parents, join us for a Boo Hoo / Yahoo breakfast when you drop off your child for school. It's a great way to meet other parents and spend a little extra time giving your good-bye hug on the first day 💛💙

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! 👩‍🎓 The promotion ceremony will be at 9:30am, so we recommend for all parents to be here before or by 9:15 as our parking lot gets full (a kind reminder that there is extra parking on 1835 Prairie City Road). Please make sure your child is dressed to impress! Families are welcome to stay for refreshments and then go home to celebrate!

As we look back on this school year, we just want to say from the bottom of our hearts, thank you families for your ongoing support of Folsom Prep. Without you, our special community wouldn't be whole. From volunteering at our events, making guest appearances in classrooms, cheering on your children, and helping us in one way or another, THANK YOU!!! 💙💛💙💛

It's so hard to believe, but next week is our last week of school! I'm not crying, you're crying! 😭 This has been such an amazing school year filled with lots of learning, laughter and awesome memories. To celebrate, we'll be having a special spirit week. Here's what's on deck: 👯 Monday - Twin Day: Dress alike with one or more of your friends! 🏀 Tuesday - Sports Day: Wear your athletic clothes because it's also our Field Day! Mr. Smith's EMT WOW Team has been hard at work planning fun activities. 🏖 Wednesday - Beach Day: Wear your best tropical outfit! 🤵‍♂️👸 Thursday - Dress to Impress: Wear your finest clothes to celebrate our last day of school & promotion ceremony. 🥳 Friday - Folsom Prep will be CLOSED!

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT! You do not want to miss our annual student showcase, a special event celebrating the amazing work students have been doing throughout the year. 👏 🎨🔬From isopods in TK to a living wax museum in 2nd and 3rd grade, come check it out! All are welcome to join us from 5:30-6:30pm. 🕠 This is a wonderful opportunity to explore our classrooms, meet teachers, and see what each grade is learning. We'll see you tonight!

Science + Technology + Engineering + Art + Math = FUN! Our students 💙 STEAM class! Hands-on learning allows students to be creative and innovative, build their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and work together. #DYK that students at Folsom Prep have STEAM class every week? We've even got a 3D printing lab where older students get to bring some of their creations to life!

It's almost here! Our annual student showcase is this Thursday, May 15 from 5:30-6:30pm. From amazing artwork to a living wax museum (so cool!), you don't want to miss this special event where our students' talent is on display! 🎨

In this month's Teacher Feature, get to know Mrs. Yates, the coolest 4th/5th grade teacher you'll ever meet! Between her passion for education, great sense of humor, and love of what she does, Mrs. Yates inspires her students to be leaders. She is the teacher you wish you had when you were in school!💙💛

Field Day Parent Volunteers Needed! ⚽️🏀🏈⚾️🎾🏐 Our annual field day event is coming up on May 20th from 9:30-11:30 am. This is a fun event where students rotate through a variety of fun games organized by our EMT leadership team! If you are interested in helping run the activities, please email Mr. Smith at asmith@folsomprep.org.

📢Tomorrow is the last chance to adjust your summer camp schedule! If your child is enrolled in our STEAM Summer Camp, be sure to let Ms. Diane know by Friday, May 2 which weeks your child will attend.

You do not want to miss Friday's Spring Drama Performance! It'll be a show for the ages...all ages, in fact! Our students have been working so hard with Ms. Alison in Drama class rehearsing their plays. Join us Friday, May 2 from 5:30-7:00 pm at The Cultural Hall (2100 California Circle, Rancho Cordova) and watch the children shine on stage! 🎭

Did you know Folsom Prep students take Spanish class each week? From learning the basics like numbers, letters, and colors in Spanish to carrying on conversations, students learn how to read, write and speak Spanish from our very own Señora McCay.
